# BGP Directory

> A community-sourced directory of hosting providers that allow customers to run their own BGP sessions. For each provider we list the ASN(s), regions, services (VPS, dedicated, colocation, tunnel, transit), route announcement type (default, full, partial), BGP fee, supported communities, minimum service tier, and operator notes. The directory is intended for network operators bringing their own ASN and IP prefixes to a host.

## What is BGP hosting?

BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) hosting refers to hosting providers that establish an eBGP session with the customer, allowing the customer to announce their own IP prefixes (BYOIP) from their own Autonomous System Number (ASN). This is required for multi-homing, anycast, and operating your own network presence at a hosting provider.
